5 cool campsites in the mountains

During your holiday you do not only want to be able to do the coolest activities, you also want to sleep at beautiful places. You can book unique camping spots in the middle of nature via Campspace. Ideal for an unforgettable outdoor holiday. We have looked up the best 5 campsites in the mountains that you can book via Campspace.

What is Campspace?

Campspace is a platform on which people can share their piece of land with others. For example, they make their garden available so that travelers can pitch their tents there or have a place on their farm where campers can stand. A number of places also have their own accommodation, such as a tipi tent or a yurt. What all places have in common is that they are small-scale and unique. In this way, Campspace hopes to show you that you don't have to travel far for a special holiday. At least you don't have to take the plane for it. In this way they make travel a lot more sustainable. Their mission doesn't stop there. They also want to inspire travelers to get out into nature and do fun outdoor activities as much as possible. It is not for nothing that their motto is 'reconnect outside'.

Campsites in the Mountains

1. Wild Mountain Retreat

Wild Mountain Retreat is a unique camping site on a private property with panoramic views of the Picos de Europa. There are hiking trails in the area and there are also routes suitable for serious mountain bikers. If you want to go a little further, the hosts can put you in touch with a guide.

The farm is 20 hectares and consists of chestnut groves and grass meadows. There is a picnic table, a compost toilet and a sink with running water. There is also an outdoor shower in the garden (cold water only). For a campfire on the fire pit, you can get wood from the forest for free or buy it in bundles.

    2. Micro glamping in the Vosges

You don't have to bring your own tent on this micro glamping in the Vosges. You can stay overnight in one of the two bell tents with a comfortable double bed. Camp beds can possibly be added, if you are with more people. There is a bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. You can also sit down for a nutritious organic vegetarian meal with products from their own garden.

You can easily reach the forest from the campsite, and the lakes and the higher mountains are not far either. The perfect place for an active holiday.
