Our purpose-driven sustainability work has one clear goal: to help cool down the planet and preserve its natural beauty.
The truth is simple: we are in the middle of a global climate crisis. Our planet is warming at an alarming pace. But there is hope. By restoring nature with smart, cost-effective solutions in our business, we can reduce global warming by up to 37%.*
This isn’t just about the climate — it’s about protecting biodiversity, strengthening ecosystems, and improving lives. In short: restoring nature helps the planet, and all of us, to thrive.
How We Do It
1. Minimize Impact
We are proud to announce that we are officially part of the B Corporation community.
Certified B Corporations are a new kind of business that balances purpose and profit.
As a Certified B Corp, we are evaluated by the nonprofit B Lab to ensure we meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, public transparency, and accountability. From now on, we are legally required to consider the impact of our decisions on our workers, customers, suppliers, community, and the environment — all with the aim of driving a global movement that uses business as a force for good.
2. Ethical Manufacturing
We design our manufacturing process around a transparent, people-first approach. That means fair working conditions, respect for everyone involved, and long-term partnerships built on trust.
By carefully choosing who we work with — and maintaining strong, lasting relationships — we have real oversight of every step in our supply chain. This allows us to be highly selective, working only with partners who share our values.
The result: products made responsibly, under conditions that go beyond fairness — aiming for truly exceptional standards in sustainability and worker well-being.
3. Restoring Nature
Cortazu exists for more than making outerwear — we’re here to inspire adventure while giving back to the planet that makes it possible.
That’s why we partnered with Justdiggit to help cool down the Earth. If human activity can warm the planet, then together we can also cool it down.
Our mission: Regreen 100 million m² of land with our business.
So far, we’ve already restored 10.000.000 m² in the Enkii area of Kuku, Kenya — and we’re just getting started.
