Why do you think you match with Cortazu so well?
I love what Cortazu stands for. As a Dutch local brand, it feels great to support a company that aligns with my values. I’ve always sought out high-quality equipment made by passionate individuals, and Cortazu embodies that perfectly.
What are your favorite Cortazu items?
The AR Active collection has been a favorite. I’ve worn it all summer during hikes and camping trips in the Swiss Alps, as well as trips in Iceland and Japan. It’s lightweight, incredibly durable, and people often ask where I got it.
What attracts you to traveling and photography?
Traveling and photography are my passions. I started with an old compact camera, inspired by my father’s love for capturing moments. Photography allows me to freeze time and relive emotions—whether it’s the awe of a breathtaking landscape, the raw beauty of nature, or the simple joy of a fleeting moment. Traveling fuels my creativity by immersing me in new cultures, stunning environments, and unique experiences that constantly inspire me to tell stories through my lens.
What's your best travel memory?
It’s hard to choose, but here are some highlights:
- Seeing the northern lights for the first time in Iceland—an unforgettable moment after dreaming of it for years.
- Photographing a horse with a rainbow behind it in Iceland, a shot I’d imagined since I started photography.
- Skiing at sunset in Lapland, with panoramic views, incredible colors, and slopes all to myself at -26°C.
- Discovering Corvo, a hidden gem in the Azores, and a breathtaking road trip through the fjords of Norway with my girlfriend.
