TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHER

Stronger Together

Equipped by Cortazu

Cortazu is dedicated to providing the gear that makes getting out thereeasy. Empowring inspiring photographers like Julie to keep pushing the boundaries This is where our journeys intersect. We've been following Julie every step she takes on her adventures.

Together with Cortazu, Julie can capture moments through her camera and we're proud to be part of this journey. To delve deeper into her world, we sat down to have a chat with and talk about her experiences, travels, and the reasons for collaborating with Cortazu!

Why do you think you match with Cortazu so well?

I am an outdoor photographer, ocean lover and horseback rider; in other words, a big part of my life is spent outside.

Cortazu’s durable and high-performance gear truly withstands harsh conditions ensuring protection and comfort during my adventures.

Last but not least, as a nature lover, Cortazu’s commitment to sustainability aligns with my deepest values and makes me proud to be a brand ambassador when out in the field (how cool is it that Cortazu plants trees for each item purchased?!)

What are your favorite Cortazu items?

I’d say the All weather Mid-Layer as well as the stretch pants (those are AMAZING for having really struggled to find nice outdoor pants).
The comfort, design and look of the Cortazu clothes make them a real pleasure to wear.
The below combo is ideal for mid-season adventures.

(1) Stretch Pants Beige | Women

(2) All weather Mid-layer Jacket Dark Green | Women
(3) AR Fleece Black | Women

What attracts you to traveling and photography?

The curiosity to discover something different, to experience new cultures and to see jaw-dropping landscapes gets me really excited. We are in a changing world and I am aware of how lucky I am to explore all these places. In the recent years, I have been on a mission to document the beauty and fragility of our planet and bring those images back to those who can’t travel. Photography has opened new doors for me, allowing me to meet incredible people, to challenge myself and answer this creative need that was hidden deep inside within me.

What's your best travel memory?

The one that first comes to mind is back in 2015. I was living in Bodø (Norway) for my internship and only had a bike to move around. One weekend, I packed my bags and boarded the Ferry to the Lofoten Islands (which were still pretty unknown at the time! I got a flat tyre in the first-kilometres on the remote islands, luckily locals came to help me and I could enjoy a beautiful trip made of hiking and biking under the midnight sun, feeling pure freedom and connexion with the abundant yet harsh Norwegian nature.
