Why do you feel you’re a great fit with Cortazu?
As a landscape photographer I am outside a lot, often in extreme weather. Not only to make photos for myself but also to give workshops. In both situations it is most important to keep yourself dry and comfortable. That does Cortazu. The clothes are high quality but also wear very comfortable and also look very good. When you wear outdoor clothes a lot, comfort is a very important part. Next to that I appreciate it very much how the vision at sustainability is for Cortazu.

What attracts you to traveling and photography?
Photography plays a very important role in my life, a real passion. I like creating and photography is the perfect tool for me. Being outside, witnessing a great landscape or beautiful light is such an amazing experience. Trying to capture those moments gives so much fulfilment. And at that moment I don’t think about anything else in life, just being in the moment and enjoy. I hope I can inspire people to do the same, go out and enjoy our beautiful surroundings. Close to home or when on a travel. While organizing photo tours I am very lucky to be able to photograph a lot in other countries. We are trying to chase the light and enjoy that moments together. We make valuable memories together with the participants.
What's your best travel memory?
I travelled to Iceland for a photo tour, this was already planned long ahead. But when we arrived, a volcano was active. At that time it was possible to visit the place. Before the group came I did go out to see the volcano. I really can’t describe that feeling of seeing an active volcano. Goosebumps all over, tears in my eyes and my jaw dropped literally. To see the real power of earth, amazing! The group landed the other day end of the afternoon. We took them directly to the volcano because it looked like the eruption was ending. They were also blown away. To share that moment together, is really unforgettable. We were so high in adrenaline after that, we didn’t sleep at all that night. The volcano ended two days after our visit. We were so lucky! I will never forget this moment.
